Back To Nature Ecotourism
Since 1999, Pak Aca has protected rainforest beside Gunung Leuser—one small piece of land at a time, with tourism helping keep it wild.

Pak Aca opened a modest guesthouse and began imagining tourism that could protect, rather than replace, the rainforest.

Forest plots were purchased little by little and kept intact as habitat beside Gunung Leuser National Park.

Guests, local guides, farmers and wildlife now share a place shaped by low-impact tourism and local stewardship.
Stories from the forest, written from within it.
